Explicit Congestion Control Algorithms for Time-Varying Capacity Media
The focus of my PhD work was to study and create algorithms that enabled the operation of Explicit Congestion Control protocols such as XCP or RCP over variable capacity media. These algorithms require intermediate nodes to have knowledge of the instant capacity of the link, which can be hard to even measure in the case of transmission media such as 802.11.
